Cruise Control

So, Terri's double mastectomy went without a hitch. She's still hospitalized but is hanging in there. Typical of her. She appreciates all the prayers... so do I. That's been the big deal going on in my world right now. I'm trying to keep calm and peaceful through all of this. For the most part, I am... afterall, I'm not the one getting major surgery and having a major part of my body removed. As a friend remarked to me today about my family's situation: "is there a black cloud following you?" No there is no black cloud following me or my family. I have faith that my family is going through this for a reason. God knows that reason. I don't. But that is not going to shake my faith. I believe we're going to be okay. It'll be a struggle at times, but it will be surmountable. Other than that, not much else happening. It'll get better here though. It's not a deep freeze right now. It seems weird that it goes up to a frosty 23 degrees and I feel that is a warm up of some sort. But a cooling trend is on the way... down to single digits again this weekend... OH YIPEEEE...

Glad to hear Terri went through her surgery okay. I don't believe in black clouds either. If I did I must of been born under one (winks). I do believe love and compassion endure a lot in this life. Your family has enough and more to keep everyone strong. You and yours continue to be in my prayers on the smoke. (Hugs)Indigo

I'm glad things went ok for Terri Mik. You know she's constantly in my prayers. One of the "fruits" I think which are coming out of all of this (and I can only say that as someone on the outside, not having to go through it myself) is that Terri's strength and determination- and that of your family is a huge inspriration to many of us. I could totally understand though if y'all wished someone else could give the inspiration for a change though.
We don't know, and won't know this side of heaven what the reasons are- but your faith is sure to make something good out of it. God Bless you guys Mik.
And as for the cold- this global warming will be over soon and then a nice spring and summer! :-)
It's been cold down here too by the way. Nothing compared to you, but in the 30's when we have no central heat can be durned chilly I must say!
